Wilt thou be Made Whole?

Oct 25, 2026  •  Pastor Anthony Cheek

For thirty-eight years, a man waited by the Pool of Bethesda for a healing that never seemed to come. Around him lay a crowd of people watching the water, so focused on the miracle they hoped for that they missed the Healer standing among them. Then Jesus looked at this one man and asked a question: “Wilt thou be made whole?”

This Sunday, we’ll look at the compassion of Jesus, who has not changed and is still moved by every need, burden, and concern you carry. We’ll see that what He offers goes beyond physical healing. The word He used points to shalom: completeness, soundness, and peace of mind, soul, and body. We’ll also talk honestly about how our past and our surroundings can shape what we believe is possible for our own lives.

Jesus gave the man a command before he felt any stronger: “Rise, take up your bed, and walk.” When we respond to His word and not our feelings, the very thing that once defined us can become our testimony.

If you’re new, returning to the faith of your childhood, or still unsure there is a God, you’re welcome here with your doubts and questions.
